Rachel is passionate about everything food and nutrition as she can appreciate the impact it can have on individuals and the world. Rachel has developed her dietetic skills across various placements in hospitals, within the community, and food service sector throughout areas of Australia including Alice Springs and Port Augusta. She has also done work helping individuals within the private practice setting.

Rachel understands how to enrich the diets of people from across each life-stage including young children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Rachel believes there is no ‘one size fits all approach’ when it comes to nutrition, but believes in the importance of individualising her education and advice.

Before finishing her dietetic course, Rachel worked as a personal trainer helping individuals and groups to achieve their fitness goals. She’s excited to bring together her physical training and dietetic skills to holistically help individuals here at the innovative dietitian.

Rachel believes there are a number of traits which are important to being a good dietitian including creativity. Rachel’s creativity makes her passionate about cooking new recipes and coming up with unique solutions to help everyone.

Rachel has seen the effect good nutrition and health has had on her own life and is excited to help individuals at the innovative dietitian. In her free time Rachel loves running, doing aerial silks, hitting the hiking trails, surfing the coast, or exploring secret rockpools. Rachel loves animals and is a definite cat person (3 family cats) – Sassy, Bonnie and Oska.

Rachel’s areas of interest: healthy eating, hypertension, hypercholesteremia, vegetarian and vegan diets, anaemia, malnutrition, diabetes including gestational, coeliac disease, food allergies and intolerances, inflammatory bowel disease (crohn’s and ulcerative colitis).
